is a resounding success<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The 11th<\/sup> edition of the Grand Prix du Vin Suisse is in full swing in Sierre this week. From Monday June 26 to Saturday July 1, more than 165 judges will taste 2835 wines entered by 511 producers from across Switzerland. Founded 11 years ago, this competition organised by VINEA Association in partnership with Vinum magazine is the largest competition dedicated to Swiss wines.   <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Grand Prix du Vin Suisse is the reference for Swiss wines, and it is fair to say that the organisers have achieved their ambition of making this the leading competition for Switzerland's producers, justifying their satisfaction.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is one of the largest showcases for Swiss wines and the media coverage it garners (around 160 articles published in 2016) goes some way to explaining the extraordinarily high levels of participation. Swiss wine producers have understood the value of communication, given the open and increasingly competitive nature of their market.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The 13 categories of the Grand Prix du Vin Suisse ensure that the competition is truly representative of Switzerland, bearing in mind the diversity of national grapes and the country's wine-growing cantons, all of which are represented: canton Valais had 958 entries, followed by Vaud (729), Ticino, Geneva and Zurich. For the 11<\/span>th<\/sup> edition, the three largest categories were single variety white wines (577 entries), followed by the grapes that are emblematic of Switzerland, namely Chasselas (411 entries) and Pinot Noir (376). More than half of all entries were from the 2016 vintage, with the 2015 vintage representing<\/span>  <\/span>more than 30% of entries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Results to be revealed at the gala dinner<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Grand Prix du Vin Suisse gala dinner will be held on the evening of October 31 in Bern at the Kursaal, with 400 guests. The 78 short-listed wines (the 6 top wines from each of the 13 categories) will compete for the 39 trophies (awarded to the top 3 wines in each category). Four special prizes will also be given at this event, namely the Vinissimo red and white awards, the BIO organic prize and the 2017 Swiss Winery of the Year award.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first results will be revealed to producers and the media in mid-August, when the gold and silver medal winners' names (30% of entries, in accordance with USOE rules) are announced along with the 78 short-listed wines that will present at the gala dinner. A highlight of the Swiss wine calendar, this event is open to the general public. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

L'undicesima edizione del Grand Prix du Vin Suisse \u00e8 un successo straordinario<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

L'11esima edizione del Grand Prix du Vin Suisse \u00e8 in pieno svolgimento a Sierre questa settimana. <\/span>Dal luned\u00ec 26 giugno al sabato 1 luglio pi\u00f9 di 165 giudici assaporeranno 2835 vini inseriti da 511 produttori provenienti da tutta la Svizzera. <\/span>Fondata 11 anni fa, questo concorso organizzato dalla VINEA Association in partnership con la rivista Vinum \u00e8 la pi\u00f9 grande competizione dedicata ai vini svizzeri.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Il Grand Prix du Vin Suisse \u00e8 il riferimento per i vini svizzeri, ed \u00e8 giusto dire che gli organizzatori hanno raggiunto la loro ambizione di rendere questa la concorrenza principale per i produttori della Svizzera, giustificando la loro soddisfazione.
<\/span>Questa \u00e8 una delle vetrine pi\u00f9 grandi per i vini svizzeri e la copertura mediatica che raccoglie (circa 160 articoli pubblicati nel 2016) fa qualche modo per spiegare i livelli straordinariamente elevati di partecipazione. <\/span>I produttori svizzeri hanno capito il valore della comunicazione, data la natura aperta e sempre pi\u00f9 competitiva del loro mercato.

Le 13 categorie del Grand Prix du Vin Suisse assicurano che la concorrenza sia veramente rappresentativa della Svizzera, tenendo conto della diversit\u00e0 delle uve nazionali e dei cantoni vinicola del paese, tutti rappresentati: il Cantone Vallese ha avuto 958 voci, seguite da <\/span>Vaud (729), Ticino, Ginevra e Zurigo. <\/span>Per l'undicesima edizione, le tre categorie pi\u00f9 grandi erano vini bianchi singoli di variet\u00e0 (577 voci), seguiti dalle uve emblematiche della Svizzera, vale a dire Chasselas (411 voci) e Pinot Noir (376). <\/span>Pi\u00f9 della met\u00e0 di tutte le voci erano dall'annata del 2016, con l'annata 2015 che rappresenta pi\u00f9 del 30% delle voci.

Risultati da rivelare alla cena di gala<\/span><\/p>\n

La cena di gala di Grand Prix du Vin Suisse si svolger\u00e0 la sera del 31 ottobre a Berna al Kursaal, con 400 ospiti. <\/span>I 78 vini brevettati (i 6 vini superiori di ognuna delle 13 categorie) competono per i 39 trofei (assegnati ai primi 3 vini di ogni categoria). <\/span>A questo evento saranno inoltre offerti quattro premi speciali, vincitori del premio Vinissimo bianco e rosso, il premio organico BIO e il premio 2017 della cantina dell'anno<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Un highlight del calendario del vino svizzero, questo evento \u00e8 aperto al pubblico.<\/p>\n
